Competition imagery is an important aspect to any architectural process. Many of our artists come from an architectural background so we understand the complexity and iterative nature of designing, especially at an early stage. Often at this stage the scheme hasn't been finalised and is based upon an idea, we work to emphasise and showcase the architectural intent, focusing on the key concepts that are the basis for the design.

WHAT ARE THEY
Verified Views are fast becoming an essential part of any planning application within major cities, especially London.
Their purpose is to provide an impartial and accurate reflection of the proposal, using a baseline of quantifiable survey data and verifiable visual data.
Often working alongside Local Planning Authorities and Townscape / Heritage Consultants to provide the best chance of success through planning.
LVMF VIEWS
LVMF Views are outlined in the London Plan, which highlights a number of key vistas across London where the line of site of key buildings and landscapes must be protected.
As the skyline of London is in a constant state of change and on-going development, it is important to maintain a current perspective of London, so we ensure these are specifically re-taken for each project to reflect this.
METHODOLOGY
Our methodology is in line with the factors outlined within the relevant sections of :
- The Landscape Institute Guidlines for LVIA 3rd Edition (April 2013)
- London Plan 2011 Implementation Framework
- LVMF Supplementary planning guide, Appendix C AVR's
- Landscape Institute Advice Note (Jan 2011) Photography and Photomontage in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment

OUR METHODOLOGY
01
THE BRIEF
We receive a brief through from you, the client, detailing a selection of verified views. These are often specified in conjunction with Local Planning Authorities and Townscape Consultants.
05
CAMERA MATCH
We then create virtual cameras and daylight systems within the 3D software, mimicking the recorded camera data and survey points to precisely match the real world scenario.
02
VIEW SCOPING
Our photographers can scope each viewpoint and provide preliminary alignments. Once confirmed, we will take the final photography and record the parameters to tie in with the survey data.
06
CUMULATIVES
For certain proposals it is vital to showcase other developments that have been approved within the area. We will mock up these cumulative schemes from planning data and represent these as a wire-line or massing study.
03
SURVEY
Our trusted surveyors visit the site and provide us with reference points and data for all the viewpoint locations, ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
07
COMPOSITING
Once the cameras have been matched the rendered image will drop perfectly into the back-plate photography, and our skilled artists will seamlessly integrate this into the photography.
04
THE MODEL
We are provided with an accurate 3D model from the client, placed in it's real world position with respect with OS data, along with detailed AOD heights, location plans and elevations for reference.
08
TVIA BROCHURE
We produce a detailed document to showcase the before and after conditions, a long with detailing the parameters of each viewpoint. In some cases working with a townscape consultant to produce a TVIA document for planning.
